RKL4741 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4741 is a flexible motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It carries drive output power and auxiliary signals from servo inverters to moving axes in automated assembly lines, palletizers, and machining centers. By combining shielded power conductors with auxiliary cores in one assembly, the cable reduces the number of separate runs that must pass through a moving carrier. It is intended for applications where power delivery and auxiliary circuits need to move together without separate cable bundles.

Its conductor set includes three power cores with a cross-section of 25.0 mm² and four separate control conductors sized 4x1.5 mm², so thermal switches or brake circuits can share the same cable path. A nominal cable diameter of 29.8 mm keeps the assembly compact for high-current service and helps it fit common carrier spaces. During energy-chain operation, the PUR jacket is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, which supports repetitive travel on linear axes. The copper strands can reach +80 °C continuously without damaging the insulation system, allowing the cable to handle sustained motor loading in demanding duty cycles.

For cabinet entry, the EMC fitting uses an M40 × 1.5 thread and covers a 22-32 mm clamping range, providing strain relief and full circumferential contact with the braided screen. The cable uses Total Shield screening to reduce radiated interference so nearby signal wiring remains more stable during inverter switching. In moving cable tracks, a minimum dynamic bend radius of 7.5×D protects the internal conductors from excess flex stress, while fixed installations can use a tighter loop. The orange PUR jacket is halogen-free, oil-resistant, and silicone-free, which suits areas where cleanliness, chemical exposure, and abrasion resistance matter.
