RKL4734 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4734 is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It serves as the fixed link between an Indramat drive controller and a synchronous servo motor, carrying phase conductors, a protective-earth conductor, and auxiliary cores that support brake or sensor functions within automated machinery. This arrangement lets one cable assembly handle motor power and related auxiliary connections in the same routed path. It is intended for machine runs that include both stationary sections and repeated axis movement. The assembly arrives preassembled, so no field crimping or pin assignment is required.

The cable uses the INK0605 bulk cable type, which provides the insulation system and conductor layout for industrial environments. Its flex life is rated for 5 000 000 bending cycles, so it can operate in continuously moving cable chains. During motion, the bending radius must not fall below 7.5 × D, where D is the outer diameter, to help prevent conductor fatigue. On the drive side, a factory-installed RLS0723 (K10) circular connector allows direct connection to compatible controller ports. The three phase cores each have a cross-section of 10.0 mm², and a separate protective-earth conductor with the same geometry supports a consistent ground path.

In a static installation, the cable may be bent to a radius of 5 × D without damaging the insulation. Motor-end terminations are completed inside the Terminal Box RLK1401, which provides strain relief and a sealed cable entry at the machine. Two auxiliary pairs support brake or signal functions; one pair uses 1.0 mm² conductors and the other uses 1.5 mm² conductors, so higher-current auxiliary circuits can be separated from lighter control wiring. This layout supports common servo motor accessory connections while keeping the overall cable arrangement practical for routed machine installations.
