RKL4733 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4733 is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It links an RLS-type controller to a servo motor through the RLK interface and carries motor power, control, and auxiliary signals within automated machinery that uses moving axes and cable carriers. By combining these circuits in a single PUR-jacketed assembly, the cable simplifies routing between the drive cabinet and moving axes while keeping the conductors organized and electrically separated for reliable motion control. This arrangement can reduce the number of separate cable runs around the machine and keeps cabinet exits less crowded.

The cable's four power cores are sized at 4 × 10.0 mm², giving the assembly enough conductor area for servo drive current without creating an oversized bundle. Two control pairs rated at 2 × 1.0 mm² support encoder or temperature signals, and separate auxiliary lines of 2 × 1.5 mm² are provided for brakes or fan supplies. The overall diameter is 22.2 mm, so standard energy-chain clamps can hold the cable without excessive compression. Mutual capacitance is limited to 1.0 nF/m, which helps preserve pulse-width-modulated voltage quality over longer runs. The cable uses bulk type INK0605 conductors and terminates with a factory-crimped RLS0721 controller plug on one end and an RLK1401 motor connector on the other, reducing on-site assembly work.

Dynamic behavior is rated for 5,000,000 continuous flex cycles, and the minimum bend radius is 5 × D in static installations and 7.5 × D in moving installations. A conductor resistance of 1.91 ohm/km helps limit voltage drop at higher load current. The matte, adhesion-free PUR sheath resists oils and welding spatter, and its tight extrusion helps prevent jacket creep during repeated chain motion. These traits are useful in gantries and pick-and-place modules, where repeated travel, limited space, and electrical noise control are important during daily operation.
