RKL4727 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4727 cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It serves as the power connection between Indramat servo controllers and synchronous motors in automated production lines, carrying three-phase supply energy together with auxiliary control conductors. The cable is intended for dynamic routing in drag chains and moving machine axes where repeated motion requires flexible construction and stable electrical performance. This arrangement allows motor power and related auxiliary circuits to travel in one cable run along the axis.

The power conductors have a cross-section of 25.0 mm², which helps limit resistive losses when the drive delivers high current to the motor. A separate pair with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² is included for encoder supply and sensor lines, allowing low-power signals to run beside the main phases with minimal voltage drop. During machine movement, the cable may flex to a minimum dynamic bend radius of 7.5 × D, while stationary installation is limited to 5 × D. Mechanical service life is rated for 5,000,000 bend cycles. The stated bend limits apply to moving and fixed routing conditions, so cable paths should be laid out with sufficient loop diameter. The PUR outer sheath provides abrasion resistance and resists coolants and oils commonly found around machining centers.

The cable uses the INK0607 bulk cable type, which keeps the conductor arrangement consistent throughout the assembly. One end is terminated with the drive-side connector code RLS0723, and the opposite end uses the keyed RLK1301 interface for a secure motor connection. A green-yellow protective conductor is integrated in the cable core to provide a low-impedance equipment ground, and it runs with the other cores through the full cable length. The high-visibility jacket is colored RAL 2003 orange, which makes motion-power circuits easier to identify in dense cable trays. The keyed connector layout also helps prevent incorrect mating between the drive and motor ends.
