RKL4724 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4724 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. This prefabricated assembly links IndraDrive inverter outputs to Rexroth servomotor terminals, carrying the three-phase supply conductors, the protective earth, and four auxiliary cores used for brake control or thermal monitoring. Delivered pre-terminated, the cable keeps connector assignments consistent and supports electromagnetic compatibility in packaging lines, pick-and-place modules, and other motion axes. Its ready-made format also reduces field wiring steps and helps maintain orderly routing inside dense machine layouts.

Inside the polyurethane jacket, the cable contains 8 conductors organized as three phase cores, one PE path, and four auxiliaries. Each phase core has a cross-section of 10.0 mm², which helps reduce resistive losses at the current levels seen in mid-frame servo drives. Two auxiliary cores identified as positions 5 and 6 use 1.0 mm² conductors for sensing, while positions 7 and 8 increase to 1.5 mm² to supply brake current. During dynamic motion, the cable may flex continuously with a minimum bending radius of 7.5 × D, whereas fixed cabinet runs require only 5 × D. The polyurethane outer jacket also supports oil resistance and energy-chain use in moving machine sections.

Longevity in moving cable chains is supported by a service life rating of 5,000,000 cycles when the bending limits are respected. The cable uses bulk material code INK0605. Its molded motor plug is the RLK1301 interface that mates to the Indramat motor socket, while the controller side uses the RLS0721 plug for connection to the drive output. A green-yellow PE conductor, matching the GNYE color code, shares the same 10.0 mm² area as the phase cores and provides the protective earth path during operation. The conductor layout keeps power and auxiliary functions in one assembly, which helps simplify cable routing on servo axes.
