RKL4723 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4723 is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It links servo drives to synchronous motors in automated machinery. The cable carries three-phase power and auxiliary signals while withstanding continuous flexing in cable-track installations.

The three power conductors each have a cross-section of 6.0 mm², a size that determines the permissible continuous current for the connected motor. Separate control cores measure 1.0 mm², and an additional pair for auxiliary functions measures 1.5 mm²; using different gauges isolates feedback or brake circuits from the main supply. Overall loop losses are limited by a conductor resistance of 3.30 Ohm/km at 20 °C, which supports accurate torque delivery over long runs. During motion, the cable may travel through energy chains that impose a dynamic bending radius of 7.5 x D, so the PUR jacket and internal stranding are designed to avoid core fatigue under that curvature. Controller-side termination is completed with an RLS0723 connector, whereas the motor end mates with an RLK1301 plug; these molded fittings seal the shielding braid to maintain EMC compliance.

The mechanical service life is rated for 5,000,000 flex cycles when used within the specified routing limits. Bulk material code INK0604 identifies the factory-spooled cable before connectorization, and its sheath is made from PUR (adhesion-free, matte) to resist coolants and oils in machining cells. Cable construction follows 4x6.0 mm² +(2x1.0 mm²)StC +(2x1.5 mm²)StC, with tinned copper shielding around the signal pairs to suppress induced noise. When permanently fixed, installers may tighten routing to a static bend of 5 x D, allowing compact cabinet layouts without exceeding insulation strain.
