RKL4714 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4714 is a preassembled motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Designed for dynamic machine axes, the cable carries three-phase supply and control conductors between an IndraDrive controller and a synchronous motor, maintaining electrical continuity during continuous motion in drag-chain tracks. Its preassembled format supports direct connection at both ends without separate field assembly of the main terminations. The assembly is fabricated from bulk cable type INK0650, which keeps its conductor construction consistent with other cable assemblies built on the same cable design.

The cable has a circular outer diameter of 12.2 mm and a PUR (adhesion-free, matte) jacket that resists oil, abrasion, and welding spatter common in factory settings. The matte jacket surface also helps the cable move freely in carriers without sticking to adjacent runs. Inside the sheath, the three power conductors each provide a cross-section of 1.5 mm², while the integrated control pair is sized at 0.75 mm² for brake or temperature signals. When routed in continuously moving carriers, the cable maintains electrical integrity at a minimum dynamic bend radius of 7.5 × D, and under its North American listing it can be energized up to 600 V AC; under VDE harmonization, it is approved for 300/500 V systems.

The motor side uses an RLK1301 bayonet connector that locks against vibration, while the controller side uses an RLS0721/K02 coupling that fits IndraDrive amplifier terminals. The bayonet lock helps the motor-end connection stay secure in applications with vibration and repetitive axis travel. In fixed installation, the cable may follow a routing arc of 5 × D without overstressing the conductors. In continuously moving tracks, the cable is rated for 5 million bending cycles and remains operational over an ambient range of -20 to +40 °C.
