RKL4710 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4710 cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It links drive controllers to servomotors, carrying three-phase power along with smaller control cores so temperature or brake signals can reach the motor through the same routed line. By combining these functions in a single assembly, the product shortens installation time and maintains signal integrity in dynamic industrial automation cells such as pick-and-place gantries and CNC machining centers.

The cable is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, so it can withstand frequent motion inside drag chains without conductor fatigue. During continuous movement, the minimum bending radius is 7.5 × D, which helps maintain proper routing in moving cable carriers. An overall diameter of 18.5 mm allows compact routing through standard energy-chain separators while still housing 6.0 mm² power cores for three-phase current. Copper losses remain low because the conductor resistance is 3.30 ?/km, which helps reduce voltage drop over long cable runs. The power conductors are rated for 300/500 V, and the design also includes separate 1.0 mm² and 1.5 mm² control wires for temperature sensing or holding-brake circuits within the same sheath.

In fixed routing, the cable can be bent to a minimum radius of 5 × D without damaging the insulation. Typical line-to-ground capacitance is only 0.8 nF/m, which helps limit reactive current from high-frequency PWM drive signals. The outer sheath uses a PUR (adhesion-free, matte) jacket that resists cutting oils, remains flexible at low temperatures, and reduces stick-slip in cable tracks. Inside, the conductor arrangement of 4x6.0 mm² + 2x1.0 mm² + 2x1.5 mm² supports balanced electrical behavior, and the auxiliary pair is insulated for 300/300 V control potential.
