RKL4709 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4709 motor supply lead is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is intended for routing from cabinet-mounted inverters to moving servo motors in assembly lines, packaging cells, and other automated stations. By combining power and auxiliary cores inside a shielded jacket, the cable simplifies wiring and helps maintain electromagnetic compatibility within electrical enclosures and drag chains.

The cable is rated for 5 million bending cycles, so it can move repeatedly in energy-chain applications without premature conductor fatigue. Its power conductors operate at up to 300 V, which suits low-voltage servo drives used on small and medium axes. When installed statically, the jacket may be bent to a minimum of 5 × D, while during dynamic motion the limit increases to 7.5 × D to protect the insulation from tensile stress. Each phase uses a cross-sectional area of 4.0 mm² to help keep resistive losses low over typical machine lengths. Additional cores are included for brake release and temperature monitoring, so these auxiliary functions can share the same cable route. The design is suitable for drag-chain installation, which avoids the need for separate external carrier hoses.

The conductor set uses the INK0603 bulk cable and is terminated with an RLK1201 connector on the motor side, while the controller end uses the keyed RLS0723/K04 plug for fast cabinet connection. Its jacket compound is flame-resistant and halogen-free, which helps limit smoke toxicity and corrosive gas formation during a fire. These materials also resist oils and coolants, helping the cable maintain dielectric strength throughout machine service life while supporting motor power, brake, and temperature-monitoring circuits without separate harnesses.
