RKL4708 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4708 is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It carries three-phase power and auxiliary control signals between an IndraDrive controller and a synchronous servo motor in industrial automation cells. By combining motor power and control conductors in one sheath, the cable supports cleaner routing on moving axes and helps maintain electromagnetic compatibility during operation. This arrangement suits servo systems that need both dependable power delivery and stable low-level signal transmission along the same machine path.

A mechanical life of 5,000,000 bending cycles means the cable can run in continuously moving cable carriers without early conductor fatigue. In fixed installation, it accepts a minimum bend radius of 5xD, while dynamic applications require 7.5xD to reduce strain during repeated motion. The round profile measures 17.0 mm in outer diameter. Inside the INK0603 bulk cable, four 4.0 mm² power cores are separated from shielded control pairs so the auxiliary channels remain less affected by motor switching noise. The jacket material is PUR, which resists cutting oils and supports drag-chain use. The power conductors are rated for 600 V AC, which matches common drive output levels in this platform.

The conductor layout uses four power cores plus shielded auxiliary pairs, with wires 5 and 6 at 1.0 mm² and wires 7 and 8 at 1.5 mm² for feedback and brake circuits. The drive side uses an RLS0722/K04 hybrid plug, while the motor end uses an RLK1201 connector for direct mating with MSK and MKE servo motors. Continuous flexing is permitted up to 80 °C conductor temperature because of the insulation system. The stranded 4.0 mm² power bundle keeps the cable compact while supporting current transfer on moving machine axes and allowing repeated bending in cable tracks.
