RKL4706 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4706 is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It serves as the fixed link that transmits three-phase power from a drive to a servo motor inside an automated cell, supporting coordinated motion in packaging, handling, and other multi-axis machines. The cable is designed for routing through dynamic energy-chain systems as well as static cable trays commonly found in industrial equipment. Its layout suits installations where moving axes and stationary cabinet sections are connected by one continuous power lead.

The cable is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, so the conductors can withstand long service in drag-chain applications that move with every machine cycle. Protection comes from a jacket made of PUR, and the outer sheath uses orange RAL 2003 coloring for quick visual identification. With an outside diameter of 14.8 mm, the cable fits standard chain brackets while housing power cores sized at 2.5 mm² for each phase. The conductor temperature limit is 80 °C, so the insulation can remain stable when the drive operates near full current and internal cabinet temperatures rise. The round profile also helps keep chain occupancy reasonable in compact machine layouts.

The cable is assembled from bulk cable type INK0602 and is factory-terminated on the drive end with plug connector RLS0723. The opposite end is prepared for a terminal box designated RLK1201, which suits motors that use a terminal-box connection instead of a molded plug. For fixed routing, the minimum bend radius is 5 × D, while flexible installation requires 7.5×D to help limit conductor fatigue during acceleration and reversal. This routing requirement helps the cable move smoothly through guides and around chain loops during repeated machine travel.
