RKL4703 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4703 is a flexible motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and included in the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It serves as the dedicated link between IndraDrive controllers and synchronous servo motors, carrying both power and control conductors in automated machinery. By matching the mechanical movement of linear axes or robotic joints, the cable helps maintain reliable signal delivery and motor torque during continuous motion on the factory floor.

The conductor set originates from the INK0650 bulk cable, trimmed to the required length and overmolded for field installation. An outside diameter of 12.2 mm provides a compact profile while still accommodating four power cores that each have a 1.5 mm² cross-section for current-carrying capacity. Two auxiliary pairs with a 0.75 mm² cross-section route resolver or brake signals back to the drive. A tough PUR outer jacket resists oils and welding spatter, allowing the assembly to move inside drag chains. The cable terminates with the RLS0722 angled connector on the controller side and connects to the motor through the RLK1201 bayonet coupling, ensuring a secure connection during repeated motion.

The electrical and mechanical ratings support long duty cycles in motion systems. The core insulation is designed for 300/500 V on the power conductors and 300/300 V on the auxiliary conductors, so the same cable can supply stator windings while monitoring temperature sensors. Repeated chain travel is tolerated for 5 million bending cycles, provided the minimum dynamic radius of 7.5 × D is met. Fixed routing inside cabinets can follow a tighter 5 × D static radius without cracking or conductor strand fatigue. Separate ratings for power and auxiliary conductors allow the assembly to carry motor current while also supporting low-voltage signaling in the same jacket during repeated motion.
