RKL4701 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4701 cable is a motor power lead produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It links a servo drive to the matching motor in automated machinery, routing three-phase power and auxiliary control cores through one flexible line. By combining these paths inside a single jacket, it shortens cable routing, preserves shielding integrity, and supports continuous motion in gantries, pick-and-place modules, and other axes that demand frequent flexing. The combined layout also reduces the number of separate leads that have to move with the axis, which helps keep cable carriers less crowded.

The cable can bend to a minimum radius of 7.5 x D, which protects the conductors during repetitive drag-chain travel. Inside the PUR sheath, the layout is 4x1.0mm² + 2x(2x0.75mm²)StC; the 1.0 mm² cores carry motor current while the paired 0.75 mm² shielded elements handle brake or sensor signals. A conductor resistance of 19.5 ohm/km limits copper loss over long runs, and the cable's dielectric presents only 0.6 nF/m of capacitance, reducing reactive load on the drive. Low capacitance also helps limit electrical loading during longer routed lengths. The bulk cable is INK0653, and its drag-chain construction supports millions of cycles without jacket cracking.

Factory-installed connectors simplify installation: the controller end is a RLS0722/K01 plug and the motor end mates to RLK1201. This arrangement provides a ready-made link between the controller and motor without separate assembly of the main terminations. External visibility is enhanced by the jacket's RAL 2003 (orange) color, and the surface material is PUR (adhesion-free, matte), which resists oil and weld spatter. Power cores withstand up to 300/500 V, while encoder or brake pairs operate at 300/300 V. An overall diameter of 12.0 mm ±0.5 mm lets the cable fit standard energy-chain separators without extra spacers, and the matte surface helps it move smoothly through the guide path.
