RKL4642 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4642 motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Supplied as a ready-terminated assembly for servo drive installations, it links a controller to an IndraDyn motor and carries both three-phase power and protective earth. In industrial automation, the cable forms part of the energy chain, delivering regulated drive output while withstanding continuous motion, oil mist, and electrical noise on machine tools, packaging lines, and material-handling gantries.

The cable contains three-phase conductors and a dedicated earth, making up 4 (3P+PE) power cores, each with a cross-section of 4.0 mm² to support the current drawn by mid-frame synchronous servomotors. A conductor resistance of 4.95 Ohm/km at 20 °C limits voltage drop over long runs, while a discharge capacity of 0.8 nF/m keeps common-mode leakage acceptable for EMC-compliant installations. The overall diameter is 17.0 mm, a size compatible with standard drag-chain clamps and cable glands. The bulk material code is INK0603, so spooled lengths can be ordered for custom harnesses when pre-terminated sets are not required.

Mechanical protection is provided by a jacket molded from PUR (adhesion-free, matte), colored RAL 2003 (orange) for immediate identification as a motor supply line in control cabinets and field routing. On the controller side, the pre-assembled RLS0723 connector speeds installation and matches the pin mapping used by Rexroth power modules, while the motor end is left with Ring Cable Lugs (RKS) that seat directly on the terminal studs of MSK or MKE motors. Two twisted signal pairs, dimensioned at 2x1.0 mm² + 2x1.5 mm², serve as auxiliary cores for brake release voltage or thermal sensor lines, keeping control wiring inside the common sheath and reducing external cable count.
