The RKL4640 cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is a motor power cable intended to link a servo amplifier to its motor, carrying drive current and auxiliary conductors in one assembly for industrial automation axes. The model is built for applications that require continual motion, so it combines mechanical flexibility with stable electrical performance during repeated positioning cycles. It is suited to packaging, transfer, and handling systems that cycle continuously through programmed motion.

Its primary conductors consist of 4x35.0 mm² copper cores that carry three-phase motor current, while a bundled pair of shielded control circuits listed as 2x(2x1.5 mm²) supports brake release or sensor functions. The nominal conductor resistance of 0.554 ?/km helps reduce resistive losses across long machine runs, and a distributed capacitance of 1.2 nF/m contributes to the cable's electrical behavior during drive operation. With an outer diameter of 30.8 mm, the cable fits standard chain separators without excessive crowding. The orange RAL 2003 jacket is made of PUR, which provides oil resistance, weld-spatter tolerance, and low abrasion when the cable moves against plastic guide channels.
