The RKL4637 is a power connection lead produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It serves as a preassembled link that transfers drive output to servo or spindle motors in automated machinery, eliminating on-site crimping and reducing wiring errors. By combining a molded plug on the motor side with pre-terminated conductors on the cabinet side, the cable supports consistent current delivery during repetitive motion on gantries, pick-and-place arms, and similar axes. The cabinet end is arranged for direct connection inside the enclosure, which helps keep routing simple where multiple drive leads share limited space. It is intended for moving-axis applications where repeated travel and consistent electrical contact are required over long operating periods.
This cable is rated for 5,000,000 flex cycles in energy-chain service, so it can remain in use in high-duty dynamic routing. During motion, the sheath may bend to a dynamic radius of 7.5 × D, while stationary installation allows a tighter radius of 5 × D without stressing the copper cores. Machine-side termination uses ferrules and ring terminals that connect directly to busbars or terminal studs inside the cabinet. The motor end uses an RLS0724 plug connector, providing strain relief and a keyed connection that helps prevent incorrect orientation. This arrangement supports secure attachment at both ends during continuous machine motion.
The thermal range extends from -30 °C to 80 °C, allowing the cable to be used in cold storage areas as well as in warmer enclosures near transformers. The conductor set follows the series' Basic build standard, which uses PVC insulation and a tinned-copper braid for conventional drive currents. As a ready-made harness, it arrives with the length, shielding, and pinout already established, so installation is limited to securing the cable and connecting the ends. It is a power cable, so it should be routed separately from feedback lines to reduce electromagnetic coupling. Separating power and feedback paths also helps preserve signal quality on encoder and control circuits in the same machine.
