RKL4629 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4629 is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It delivers three-phase power and signal lines from a drive controller to a synchronous or asynchronous motor in automated machinery, allowing coordinated torque, speed, and feedback functions without separate conduit runs. This combined cable layout keeps the connection path compact on moving axes and supports orderly routing between the drive cabinet and the motor.

This cable is built for dynamic routing and is rated for 5 million bending cycles when installed in energy chains. Four power cores with a cross-section of 35.0 mm² carry the main drive current, while two pairs of 1.5 mm² control wires handle temperature or brake signals. The power group uses 4 equally sized copper conductors, and each conductor set has total shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference. A PUR outer jacket protects the assembly against abrasion, and its orange RAL 2003 color makes the cable easier to identify in trays and carriers. For installation, the bend radius may be 5 × D in fixed runs and 7.5 × D under continuous flex, which supports repeated movement without placing unnecessary strain on the copper conductors.

The conductors can operate continuously up to +80 °C without insulation damage during normal use. The jacket is halogen-free, which helps limit corrosive gas release during a fire, and the compound is also oil-resistant for use near hydraulic mist and machine lubricants. A water-blocking structure makes the cable resistant to hydrolysis in humid washdown areas, and production without PVC additives keeps the surface silicone-free. These material choices suit installations where moisture, fluid exposure, and constant cable movement can occur around the same machine axis.
