RKL4628 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4628 motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is a preassembled power lead intended to carry three-phase drive energy from an inverter to a motor terminal box inside an automated cell. Within an installation, the cable connects the drive controller at one end and the motor at the other, supporting consistent routing in dynamic cable tracks used on gantries, pick-and-place units, and packaging lines. Its preassembled format also reduces field termination work and helps maintain a uniform connection layout on moving axes.

The cable is rated for 5,000,000 flex cycles, so it suits continuous-motion applications such as chain conveyors and other repeatedly traveling machine sections. During movement, its minimum dynamic loop is 7.5 × D, whereas in fixed routing the static loop is limited to 5 × D; these bend radii help reduce conductor fatigue during service. A copper power core of 35.0 mm² supports high current delivery with limited voltage drop to large synchronous or induction motors. On the drive side, an RLS0724 circular connector mates directly with Rexroth controller modules, eliminating field crimping work and helping preserve shielding continuity.

The sheath also supports thermal demands, with operation permitted up to 80 °C and down to -30 °C so the cable can be used in hot enclosures or refrigerated areas. The cable is supplied as a ready-made assembly, with each length cut and jacketed for direct installation. Motor-end conductors are finished with ferrules, allowing immediate landing inside the terminal box and helping maintain even pressure under clamping screws. Because the variant is a dedicated power cable, auxiliary control pairs are omitted, which keeps the outer diameter smaller and eases installation through crowded drag-chain compartments.
