The RKL4624 is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It links drive controllers to synchronous or asynchronous motors in automated machinery, carrying three-phase power along with control auxiliaries while tolerating constant movement inside energy-supply tracks. Its design focuses on flexibility, electromagnetic shielding, and long service life so that motion axes in packaging, handling, or machining cells receive consistent electrical power during accelerated linear or torsional travel. The assembly combines motor power conductors and auxiliary circuits in one cable, which helps keep moving cable runs compact on traveling axes. This format is useful where a single moving harness must feed both motor power and related auxiliary functions.

The cable is built for continuous motion in drag-chain applications. It endures 5,000,000 flex cycles when routed in drag chains and maintains conductor integrity at a dynamic bend radius of 7.5 × D; when installed in a fixed position, the minimum bend radius drops to 5 × D. A PUR (adhesion-free, matte) outer jacket resists cutting oils and helps prevent sticking inside chain troughs. Signal integrity is supported by a Total Shield made with tinned copper braiding. The auxiliary pairs are bundled to reduce relative movement between cores during repeated travel.

The electrical section covers conductor size and temperature limits. Three power cores use a cross-section of 25.0 mm², which helps limit voltage drop at current levels common to medium-frame servo drives, while two twinned 1.5 mm² pairs carry auxiliary circuits. Rated system voltage on the power cores is 300/500 V, and the integrated control cores operate at 300/300 V. Loop resistance is only 0.78 ?/km, and mutual capacitance is 1.1 nF/m for stable signal behavior over longer cable runs. Under fixed routing, the insulation withstands 90 °C, while the moving temperature limit is 80 °C.
