The RKL4623 motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Designed for servo drives and synchronous motors, the cable routes three-phase power and auxiliary signal conductors between the drive controller and the machine axis. Its construction, based on finely stranded copper cores and a polyurethane jacket, supports continuous motion in energy chains while helping preserve signal integrity in industrial automation cells that demand precise torque control and reliable current delivery. Combining power and control-related conductors in one cable also helps keep moving cable packages compact.

The cable body measures an outside diameter of 29.8 mm, so installation trays or drag-chain separators must accommodate that width. During routing, the cable requires a minimum static bend radius of 5 × D, while dynamic applications such as continuous flexing in a cable carrier require a larger radius of 7.5 × D. These limits protect the conductor strands from fatigue cracking and help prevent the PUR jacket from kinking. Electrical insulation is rated for up to 600 V AC on the power cores, allowing direct connection to standard inverter outputs. The orange jacket follows RAL 2003 color coding for clear identification of motor lines inside mixed-cable bundles, and the polyurethane sheath resists coolants and welding oils commonly present in machining environments.

Internally, the power section is formed by 4×25.0 mm² conductors whose DC loop resistance is only 0.78 Ω/km, which helps limit voltage drop over long machine segments. Two shielded auxiliary bundles, sized at 2×(2×1.5 mm²), share the same cable and carry brake release or temperature sensor signals. Their low mutual capacitance of 1.1 nF/m helps keep switching edges clean for the drive electronics. Thermal endurance reaches +90 °C in fixed routing and remains serviceable up to +80 °C when flexed, allowing the cable to pass close to motor housings without premature aging.
