RKL4622 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4622 is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It links servo drives to motors, carrying phase current and auxiliary control cores in automated machinery. The cable serves moving axes where flexibility and noise suppression must be maintained throughout long duty cycles. A layered design combines power transmission with EMC performance, which helps reduce interference in packaging systems, robotics, and material-handling equipment. This arrangement also allows motor power and related auxiliary signals to follow the same moving cable path.

With a power core cross-section of 4x25.0 mm², the cable can carry high continuous current while limiting resistive losses along the run. Its overall diameter of 29.8 mm suits cable glands and drag-chain spacing, while a total shield encloses all cores to reduce radiated noise and provide a low-impedance grounding path. The jacket is molded from PUR, which provides abrasion resistance and oil tolerance in demanding machine environments. Visual identification is aided by the orange (RAL 2003) outer jacket, making the cable easier to distinguish from adjacent wiring. The four power conductors are concentrically stranded, which helps distribute bending stress more evenly during repeated motion.

Mechanical durability is shown by a flex life of 5 million bending cycles, making the cable suitable for continuous travel in dynamic routing systems. Two twisted control pairs sized 2x(2x1.5 mm²) carry brake or sensor signals and remain grouped with the power conductors in one assembly. The maximum conductor temperature is 80 °C, so the connected system must keep copper temperature within that limit during peak load periods. The cable is halogen-free, which helps reduce corrosive gas release under fire exposure in enclosed spaces. It is also silicone-free, making it more suitable for areas where surface contamination must be avoided.
