RKL4620 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4620 motor power cable is supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is a preassembled power lead used to connect Rexroth synchronous servomotors to matching drives inside automated machinery. By providing the correct conductor cross-section and factory-terminated plugs, the cable simplifies installation in gantries, conveyor modules, and other motion axes where reliable power delivery and EMI-compliant shielding are required. Its design focuses on consistent electrical performance while enduring continuous flexing within cable chains used in industrial automation cells.

The cable is supplied in the Basic configuration, which uses the standard insulation and shielding layout for the RKL family. Because it is classified as a Ready-Made assembly, it arrives cut to length and terminated, removing the need for field crimping and ensuring repeatable contact resistance. The assembly is a power cable and therefore carries three phase conductors plus protective ground. At the motor end, the molded plug coded INS0381 mates with IndraDrive power interfaces, while the controller side carries the circular connector RLS0724 so the conductor sequence cannot be inverted. During operation in energy chains the conductors must flex repeatedly; to prevent conductor fatigue the jacket supports a dynamic bend radius of 7.5xD and may remain parked at a static radius of 5xD when the axis is idle.

Service life in moving applications is rated for 5,000,000 cycles, allowing the cable to operate in high-duty carriers during typical machine service. It stays flexible down to -30 °C, permitting cold-start positioning systems in refrigerated production zones, and maintains dielectric integrity up to 80 °C so cabinet heat or elevated ambient air will not degrade insulation. The same limits apply during storage, so the cable can be kept before installation without special temperature conditioning.
