RKL4612 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4612 cable is a motor power lead developed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Designed for servo drive assemblies, it carries three-phase power from the inverter output to the motor terminals while maintaining electrical integrity in high-cycle motion applications. It is intended for moving machine sections where cable routing must remain stable during repeated axis travel. Because it is supplied as a finished assembly rather than loose bulk wire, its terminations and jacket format suit direct integration into servo systems. The assembly format also reduces conductor preparation at the installation point and supports consistent routing in automated handling systems, transfer units, and gantry axes.

The cable is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, so repeated drag-chain travel can be handled without rapid mechanical fatigue. During motion, the minimum bend follows a 7.5xD dynamic bending radius, while stationary routing may use a tighter 5xD static bending radius. These bend limits help maintain conductor integrity when the cable is installed in carriers, loops, or fixed cabinet runs. A 25.0 mm² conductor cross-section supports motor power transmission with low resistance at typical servo currents. At the cabinet end, the RLS0723 drive-side connector provides a keyed interface that mates with compatible Rexroth inverter connections and adds strain relief at the entry point.

As a ready-made assembly, the RKL4612 is cut to length and jacketed for direct use in machine wiring. The motor end is finished with ferrules, which help keep the strands together and promote even clamping pressure at the terminal connection. This arrangement also reduces strand splaying during installation and supports a cleaner connection at the motor terminals. The cable can operate from -30 °C minimum operating temperature up to 80 °C maximum operating temperature, and the same limits apply during storage. That temperature range supports use in cold production areas and in warmer enclosures where cable flexibility and jacket stability must be maintained.
