The RKL4609 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Designed to link Indramat drive controllers to synchronous servomotors, it carries three-phase supply and auxiliary conductors while withstanding rapid machine motion. In automated handling cells, gantries, or packaging lines, the cable transmits drive current and control potentials without signal loss, allowing coordinated axis movement and reducing downtime associated with conductor fatigue. Its insulation and strain-relief system are suited to industrial routing through cable chains and moving carriages.

This model uses the INK0605 bulk cable construction, with fine-strand copper conductors surrounded by an abrasion-resistant jacket for continuous flexing. Electrical efficiency is supported by a conductor resistance of 1.91 Ohm/km at 20 °C, which helps limit voltage drop along extended runs. The cable has a capacitance of 1.0 nF/m, minimizing capacitive loading on frequency inverters. On the controller side, a keyed RLS0723/K10 circular connector provides quick mating to Rexroth drive racks, while the dynamic bending radius of 7.5 × D allows repetitive movement inside energy chains. The cable is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, supporting long service life in high-duty axes.

At the motor end, conductors are finished with Ferrules that crimp securely onto the motor-side WEF interface block for a stable electrical connection. The three power cores feature a cross-section of 10.0 mm², delivering the current required by medium-frame servomotors, while auxiliary pairs for brake release and temperature sensors use 1.0 mm² and 1.5 mm² conductors to balance flexibility and ampacity. During static cabinet runs, the cable may be laid with a radius of 5 x D, complementing its moving-chain capability. This conductor arrangement carries motor power and auxiliary circuits within one cable run, which helps keep routing compact on moving axes.
