RKL4607 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4607 cable is a ready-made power lead manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It connects an IndraDrive controller to a Rexroth synchronous motor and carries the three-phase supply together with auxiliary sensor and brake circuits used in automated machinery. The molded plugs and pre-installed ferrules shorten panel assembly time and provide a reliably screened path for drive current in routing channels and drag-chain carriers commonly used on packaging, printing, and material-handling lines.

The principal conductors are sized at 6.0 mm², a cross-section that supports the continuous current drawn by mid-frame servo motors without excessive voltage drop. Two auxiliary cores for encoder power use 1.0 mm², while a separate pair for brake release uses 1.5 mm² to handle inrush peaks. When the cable moves with an axis, its allowable dynamic loop is limited to 7.5 × D, where D is the outer diameter. Internal braid, filler, and jacket compounds are matched so that the assembly withstands up to 5,000,000 bending cycles in an energy chain before mechanical fatigue is expected. These flex limits help size carrier trays and stroke lengths correctly.

At the cabinet side, the cable mates with a keyed RLS0723 connector, which helps reduce wiring errors during connection. For static runs, such as inside a fixed conduit, the bend radius may be reduced to 5 × D because torsional loads are absent. The operating environment can fall to -30 °C on a cold start and rise to 80 °C in a heated enclosure without degrading insulation or sheath integrity, and the same limits apply during warehouse storage. Ferrule terminations on the motor end in WEF style simplify clamp installation and help maintain full conductor engagement after temperature cycling and vibration.
