RKL4602 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4602 is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It serves as the movable link between an IndraDrive controller and a synchronous motor, carrying three-phase power and auxiliary circuits in automated machining centers or gantry systems. The cable is intended for continuous-motion installations such as drag-chain carriers, where repeated flexing and tight routing spaces are routine operating conditions. This arrangement allows a single cable run to support moving motor assemblies while keeping power delivery and auxiliary connections organized along the same path.

The electrical paths use a phase conductor cross-section of 2.5 mm² and an auxiliary conductor cross-section of 1.0 mm², so drive current and reference circuits can operate through prolonged duty cycles without unnecessary heat buildup. Mechanical service life is rated for 5,000,000 flex cycles, making the cable suitable for dynamic axes that run continuously. During motion, the copper bundle may bend to a minimum radius of 7.5 × D, while the installation radius at rest may be reduced to 5 × D. The cable is approved for drag-chain use, and the jacket and filler system resist the longitudinal compression that can occur during rapid strokes.

The outer sheath is colored RAL 2003 (Orange) and molded from PUR (adhesion-free, matte), a compound that resists oil splatter and weld slag while staying flexible at low temperatures. With a linear density of 0.380 kg/m and a construction containing 8 conductors, the cable keeps carrier weight under control while still providing an earth core, three phase conductors, and four auxiliary conductors. It uses bulk cable type INK0602 with controller connector RLS0722/K03 and motor-side WEF lugs. This creates a ready-to-install assembly that maintains shielding continuity through the power path.
