RKL4600 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4600 is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is designed to carry drive power and auxiliary control signals between an Indramat servo motor and its drive controller in dynamic automation installations. The cable core layout, shielding, and insulation are suited to servo environments with frequent motion and strong electromagnetic interference. In factory robotics and gantry axes, the RKL4600 provides a consistent connection path while supporting repeated movement.

The cable has a rated flex life of 5 million bending cycles when routed in drag chains, and it is approved for continuous movement because its conductors, fillers, and braiding help keep strand stress low. The power cores have a cross-section of 1.0 mm², allowing stable transmission of phase current at up to 300/500 V per VDE classification. Signal behavior over longer runs is supported by a discharge capacity of 0.6 nF/m, which helps limit reactive loading at the drive output. Copper resistance is 19.5 ohms/km at 20 °C, which is useful when estimating voltage drop across longer cable lengths. The cable supports a dynamic bending radius of 7.5 x D, helping it move through drag-chain systems without excessive mechanical stress.

The outer jacket is made of PUR (adhesion-free, matte), so chips and lubricants are less likely to cling to the surface and routine cleaning is easier in machining areas. For brake circuits or temperature sensors, the design includes paired control conductors with a cross-section of 0.75 mm² that operate at 300/300 V. This separation helps keep auxiliary wiring distinct from the motor power conductors during routing. A static bending radius of 5 x D applies when the cable is installed in a fixed position outside a drag chain. The jacket is also suited to machine areas where abrasion, oil exposure, and frequent handling are common.
