The RKL4593 cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It serves as the dedicated power link between a drive controller and an asynchronous or synchronous motor, carrying the three-phase supply required for industrial automation axes. When routed inside machines, the cable forms part of the managed energy chain, so its mechanical and thermal limits influence axis stroke length, acceleration, and long-term duty.
The bulk conductor and insulation profile correspond to the designation INK0604, which identifies the internal geometry used for this cable family. During cabinet or tray installation that remains stationary, the minimum bending radius is 5 × D; this limit protects the copper strands and insulation from compression fatigue. Under continuous motion, the allowable radius changes to 7.5 × D, and the extra clearance helps prevent sheath cracking during repeated cycles. The cable also tolerates combined bending and torsion of ±180°/30 cm, so it can follow rotary tables or delta-robot joints without conductor breakage. Because it is halogen-free, drag-chain compatible, and oil resistant, the assembly remains suitable for work cells with lubricants or strict emission limits. The motor end terminates in a terminal box sized for 160-frame machines, allowing direct landing on standard stud blocks.
The controller side mates with the connection set RLS0723, providing a strain-relieved plug for the controller connection. For axes that accelerate rapidly, the jacket withstands linear rates up to 20 m/s² without insulation creep or layer separation. Power conductors are rated for 300 V nominal line potential, and their copper cross-section of 6.0 mm² carries the current required by medium-frame servo motors while keeping voltage drop within drive limits. Continuous conductor temperature may rise to 80 °C, so the cable can share enclosures with transformers or braking resistors that elevate ambient heat.
