RKL4592 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4592 is a flexible motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Intended for servo-grade installations, the cable links power stages in the controller cabinet to synchronous or asynchronous motors on the machine frame, carrying phase, brake, and protective-earth conductors in a single sheath. Its design supports dynamic motion axes found in transfer lines, pick-and-place gantries, and other automation equipment that rely on continuous movement.

The cable is rated for 5 million flexing cycles, so the conductor bundle can withstand high-frequency motion without microcracking in the copper strands. The bulk material code INK0604 identifies the cable type used in this family. Inside the jacket, the conductor arrangement is 4x6.0 mm² + 2x1.0 mm² + 2x1.5 mm², which separates the motor phases from the auxiliary brake and sensor cores for organized termination. The six-square-millimeter phase conductors have a direct-current loop resistance of 3.30 Ohm/km, which helps limit voltage drop over longer cable runs. Controller-side termination uses an RLS0721 molded plug that locks to IndraDrive outlets, while the motor end is supplied with ferrules and a ring terminal for field connection.

The cable's mutual capacitance is limited to 0.8 nF/m, which helps reduce reactive current when the drive issues high-frequency PWM pulses. For moving installations, the minimum dynamic bending radius is 7.5 × D, while static machine wiring may use a tighter minimum of 5 × D. The outer sheath is colored RAL 2003 (Orange) and made of PUR, which helps resist oils and makes the cable easy to identify in the machine layout. It is suitable for drag-chain use, and the low capacitance also helps reduce electromagnetic coupling to adjacent signal lines.
