The RKL4583 cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Supplied as a dedicated link between a drive inverter and its matched servo motor, the assembly carries three-phase energy and auxiliary sensor lines required for closed-loop motion in automated cells. Its design addresses the mechanical demands of moving machine axes while maintaining consistent electrical characteristics critical to industrial automation.

The electrical profile starts with a distributed capacitance of 1.2 nF/m, which helps keep displacement currents low so the drive can deliver clean voltage edges to the motor. Strands built to Conductor Class 6 (EN 60228) permit thousands of tight bending cycles without wire breakage, matching the high-dynamic nature of pick-and-place gantries. Loop resistance is only 1.21 ?/km, which minimizes I²R loss and limits thermal rise along extended cable tracks. The construction is also suitable for drag-chain use, so shields, fillers, and separators remain intact during continuous acceleration. An outer jacket made from PUR (adhesion-free, matte) withstands cutting fluids, and its high-visibility shade coded RAL 2003 (orange) simplifies visual identification. A bending radius of 7.5 × D can be used without exceeding mechanical strain limits.

The overall bundle diameter of 25.5 mm guides the selection of cable glands, energy-chain separators, and machine routing clips. Two shielded control pairs sized 2×(2×1.5 mm²) carry brake release or temperature signals independently of the power cores. Those cores are dimensioned as 4×16.0 mm², allowing continuous motor currents while staying within permissible conductor heating. Auxiliary circuits operate at 300 V, isolated by individual foils, whereas the main three-phase conductors are rated for 600 V AC to accommodate standard 400 V inverter systems with voltage headroom.
