Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the RKL4567 motor power cable as part of its RKL Motor Power Cables series. The product links drive controllers to synchronous servomotors in automated machinery, carrying power and control cores so that moving axes can operate without signal loss in continuously flexing cable chains. Its design focuses on high cycle life and electrical stability, making it suitable for pick-and-place gantries, packaging equipment, and other stations that impose constant linear or torsional motion on the cable assembly. The cable is intended for installations where the drive and motor are separated by moving carriers, so both electrical continuity and mechanical flexibility are important during repeated machine travel.
One durability indicator is the cable's 5 million bending cycles, which indicates how many chain traverses it can handle before conductor fatigue becomes critical. The core bundle follows the composite layout 4x10.0 mm²+(2x1.0 mm²)StC+(2x1.5 mm²)StC, so four power conductors share the jacket with shielded control pairs for brake or sensor functions. That mixed conductor arrangement keeps motor power and auxiliary circuits in one assembly while helping maintain orderly routing. With a linear conductor resistance of 1.91 Ohm/km, voltage drop across typical machine lengths stays low enough for 500 V systems. A molded INS0382 connector is fitted on the drive end, simplifying cabinet wiring and helping prevent orientation errors during connection. Visual identification on the factory floor is aided by the jacket's RAL 2003 (orange) color, which matches Rexroth drive cable coding. The power cores use a 10.0 mm² cross-section and are rated for a continuous 500 V potential.
The outer sheath is extruded from PUR (adhesion-free, matte) material, so coolants and lubricants do not bond to the surface and the cable slides easily inside plastic guide channels. The matte finish also helps the cable move freely through drag-chain links without sticking during repeated motion. Installation constraints differ with mounting style; static routing requires a minimum bend radius of 5xD, while dynamic carrier segments must respect 7.5xD to avoid crushing or corkscrew deformation. Separate static and dynamic bend limits support both fixed placement and continuous travel on moving axes. Even with the integrated shields, the assembly measures 22.2 mm (±1.0) across, allowing compact track selection and consistent clamp sizing. This diameter helps the cable fit tightly packaged machine layouts without requiring oversized cable carriers.
