Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the RKL4565, a flexible motor power cable in the RKL Motor Power Cables series. The product is intended for fixed or low-motion routing between a servo drive and its motor, delivering three-phase power while also accommodating temperature sensors, brakes, or solenoid signals in the same assembly. Using a single composite cable reduces panel penetrations, shortens cable runs inside the machine, and helps keep control cabinets organized in industrial automation cells.

Beneath the polyurethane jacket, the cable carries four power cores with a cross-section of 4 x 10.0 mm², a size selected to keep current density within acceptable limits for medium-frame servomotors. Two twisted control pairs sized 2 x 1.0 mm² + 2 x 1.5 mm² travel in a separate layer so low-level signals remain isolated from switching noise. A distributed capacitance of 1.0 nF/m supports fast edge rates without excessive reactive loading, and overall copper losses are limited to a conductor resistance of 1.91 ?/km. With these conductors and shielding in place, the finished cable has an outer diameter of 22.2 mm, so routing should allow enough bend radius to prevent core compression.

The electrical insulation system is rated for a continuous operating voltage of 600 VAC on both power and control conductors, matching the output range of most variable frequency drives. Its sheath is molded from adhesion-free, matte PUR, a material that tolerates mineral oils, coolants, and mechanical stress while remaining flexible. The compound is halogen-free, so combustion does not release corrosive gases, and its oil resistance allows routing through machine bases filled with lubricants. The maximum fixed conductor temperature is 90 °C, which helps prevent premature insulation aging. Visual identification is simple because the outer sheath is colored RAL 2003 orange, a standard tint for energized motion cabling in factory environments.
