RKL4563 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4563 is a motor power cable assembled by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is intended for automated installations where the drive controller must deliver three-phase energy and auxiliary lines to a moving motor inside a drag-chain or festoon system. Its job is to carry power and support signals with low loss while tolerating continuous motion, vibration, and oil mist commonly found in industrial automation cells. Because power and auxiliary conductors are combined in one assembly, the machine can use a single moving cable instead of separate routed lines.

The cable has an outside diameter of 22.2 mm, which sets the space needed for routing through energy chains and around machine frames. Four power cores sized at 4x 10.0 mm² carry motor phase current, while separate twisted pairs and auxiliaries listed as 2x(2x1.0 mm²)+2x(1.5 mm²) carry brake release, temperature, or reference signals. A PUR sheath protects the conductors against mineral oil, welding sparks, and microbe attack. The jacket also resists abrasion during repeated travel inside cable carriers. Mutual capacitance is limited to 1.0 nF/m, which helps reduce reactive current and supports stable inverter operation at higher PWM switching rates.

Mechanical service life is rated for 5,000,000 cycles of flexing, and the cable is intended for drag-chain use so it can move continuously with gantry axes or transfer arms. For clear identification during installation, the sheath is colored RAL 2003 (Orange). Direct-current losses remain low because the loop resistance is 1.91 Ohm/km, which helps limit voltage drop on longer cable runs. On the controller side, the keyed plug designated RLS0721 mates with Rexroth drive amplifiers, while the opposite end carries an AEH/RKS hybrid connector based on the INK0605 bulk cable arrangement.
