The RKL4552 cable belongs to the RKL Motor Power Cables series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It serves as the power link between a Rexroth drive controller and its matched servo motor, routing motor phases along with auxiliary signals through a single molded assembly. Within automated lines, gantries, or packaging axes, the cable travels inside drag chains, so its mechanical rating and electrical interfaces support repetitive motion while supplying stable current to the windings. Because it ships pre-terminated, panel wiring time is reduced and connection errors are minimized. Its preassembled form also helps keep cable routing uniform in machines that run through repeated production cycles.

The cable can withstand 5,000,000 bending cycles, a figure suited to long-term continuous duty in energy chains. When the cable is installed in a fixed run, the minimum bend radius is 5 x D; during dynamic motion, the curve must open to 7.5 x D to avoid conductor strain. The outer jacket is molded from PUR, giving abrasion resistance and oil tolerance suited to factory environments. Conductor insulation and shielding follow the Rexroth bulk cable recipe INK0602, which helps keep differential impedance and leakage behavior stable under vibration and repeated motion. Approval for drag-chain use means the cable can move with the carriage without internal corkscrewing or jacket tearing.

Four individually insulated power cores each have a cross-section of 2.5 mm², providing the current capacity needed for typical low-power synchronous motors. A separate pair of control cores is sized at 1.0 mm² for brake release or temperature sensor circuits. On the controller side, the molded plug is the RLS0721 connector, and the motor end mates with the AEH/RKS interface specified on Rexroth servomotors for a direct fit at both ends. These matched terminations reduce contact resistance and eliminate onsite crimping, which helps keep installation consistent from one machine build to the next.
