RKL4547 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4547 is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It serves as the movable link between a servo drive and its motor, carrying both power and auxiliary conductors through drag-chain paths found in automated machine tools, material-handling gantries, and other industrial motion systems. The cable is intended for applications in which repeated travel, continuous current delivery, and compact routing have to occur in the same moving assembly. By combining motor power leads and smaller auxiliary leads in one jacket, it supports both motion and related motor functions without requiring separate flexible runs.

Mechanical durability is indicated by a life rating of 5,000,000 bending cycles in a drag chain, so the cable is suited for repeated flexing during normal machine travel. The circular sheath has a diameter of 29.8 mm, which fits matching glands and chain compartments without excessive free space. Each power core uses stranded copper with a conductor cross section of 25.0 mm², helping reduce resistance on high-current axes. These cores are insulated for 300/500 V service, and the cable includes 4 power conductors for three-phase power delivery with protective earth. During flexible operation, the sheath and insulation permit continuous conductor temperatures up to 80 °C.

Four auxiliary control leads complement the main cores, and each signal conductor has a cross section of 1.5 mm² for brake or thermal-sensor circuits. Those leads are rated for 300/300 V, while the outer jacket uses PUR to resist coolants and cutting oils and remain flexible during motion. In fixed installation, the cable supports a temperature ceiling of 90 °C. The molded connector fits a motor terminal box with an M40 × 1.5 thread, which avoids field crimping at the motor end and helps keep the cable entry sealed.
