The RKL4528 is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is intended for industrial automation installations that link servo drives to synchronous motors while operating inside moving cable carriers. The design combines main power conductors and auxiliary pairs under a single PUR jacket, which simplifies routing in control cabinets and on articulated machine axes. By carrying both motor power and supporting circuits in one assembly, the cable reduces the need for separate parallel runs around moving machine members. It can be used on linear axes, transfer units, and similar moving assemblies where the cable must travel with the machine. This layout is useful on equipment where continuous flexing and compact cable management are both required.

The cable contains three phase conductors with a cross-section of 10.0 mm², allowing it to deliver the continuous motor current used by medium-frame Indramat drives. Two sensor or brake leads are provided at 1.0 mm², and another pair is sized at 1.5 mm², so brake or temperature-monitoring functions can be connected without a separate harness. The mixed conductor set allows motor power and auxiliary connections to follow one managed cable path. Dynamic durability is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles in drag-chain service, indicating suitability for repeated linear travel. Electrical losses over distance are limited by a conductor resistance of 1.91 ?/km, which helps reduce voltage drop on longer machine axes. The orange RAL 2003 jacket uses PUR with a matte, adhesion-free surface that slides smoothly in carrier links and resists cutting fluids.

A mutual capacitance of 1.0 nF/m helps limit displacement current and supports stable PWM operation from the drive. During static cabinet routing, the minimum bend radius is 5 × D, while moving applications require 7.5 × D to reduce strand fatigue during repeated motion. The overall diameter is 22.2 mm, which provides a clear reference for gland selection, carrier spacing, and sealing hardware. These dimensions are useful when planning entry plates, bend supports, and the internal width of cable guides. The cable is approved for drag-chain use, and its flexible sheath supports repeated motion in automated equipment.
