The RKL4516 is a motor power cable from the RKL Motor Power Cables series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It transmits drive power and feedback-related control signals between a Rexroth servo drive and its matched motor in automated production cells, where continuous motion, repeated bending, and tight routing paths require high mechanical endurance and stable electrical performance. The cable is suited for modular machine tools and material-handling gantries that use standardized connector pinouts and organized cabinet routing, especially where a single routed assembly is preferred over separate power and auxiliary leads.

The cable endures 5 million bending cycles in C-track applications, supporting long service life under repetitive movement. In fixed installation, the minimum bend radius is 5 x D, while dynamic routing in cable chains requires a radius of 7.5 x D; these limits reduce conductor stress and protect the insulation during repeated travel. Its composite construction uses 4x10.0 mm² plus 2x(2x1.0)StC and 2x(2x1.5)StC bundles, resulting in a total of 12 conductors that combine power and signal pairs within one sheath. Copper resistance at 20 °C is 1.91 ?/km, which helps limit voltage drop over typical machine-length runs, and a system voltage capability of 600 VAC covers common three-phase industrial drive supplies.

The exterior diameter is 22.2 mm, which balances current capacity with flexible routing through standard drag-chain separators. A PUR outer jacket with an adhesion-free, matte surface resists abrasion, coolants, and oils, while its RAL 2003 orange color makes the cable easier to identify in multi-cable bundles. Each power core has a cross-section of 10.0 mm², and the paired control leads use 1.0 mm² conductors on positions 5-6 and 1.5 mm² conductors on positions 7-8 so brake release or temperature sensor signals can share the same cable run. The separated conductor groups allow auxiliary circuits to travel beside the motor phases within the same outer jacket while supporting orderly routing through moving cable systems.
