RKL4510 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4510 motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It serves as the fixed-to-moving interface that carries power and control conductors from a drive module to a synchronous or asynchronous motor in industrial automation cells, while withstanding constant motion in cable tracks and articulated axes. This arrangement supports moving axes where repeated bending is part of normal operation. Finely stranded conductors and a polyurethane sheath help minimize electrical loss and mechanical wear in assembly lines, packaging machines, and material-handling systems.

The cable has a nominal outer diameter of 14.8 mm, allowing tight bend radii inside compact carriers. A matte, adhesion-free PUR jacket resists oils and welding sparks while preventing the cable from sticking to adjacent runs. Line-to-line coupling is reduced by a typical capacitance of 0.7 nF/m, which helps drives maintain stable PWM output over long lengths. Copper losses are limited by a conductor resistance of 7.98 ?/km at 20 °C. Integrated control cores each have a cross-section of 1.0 mm² for sensor loops or brake-release lines, supplying auxiliary current without requiring a second cable. The combined conductor set also helps keep moving cable bundles more compact.

Primary power is transferred through three conductors rated at 2.5 mm², a size that supports typical servo currents while keeping cable weight manageable. The cable is rated for up to 5,000,000 flex cycles in continuously moving carriers and remains suitable for torsion and acceleration loads. The sheath is colored RAL 2003 orange, making the cable easier to identify in dense machine wiring. It is halogen-free to limit toxic emissions and is suitable for drag-chain use in dynamic machine tools.
