RKL4502 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4502 cable is a motor power lead produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is designed to transfer drive output to an Indramat servo motor, supplying three-phase power together with control conductors for brake or sensor functions. A dedicated protective earth path is also included so the connected axis can operate safely and reliably in automated machinery, including systems with moving cable runs and compact electrical enclosures.

RKL4502 is built on the INK0603 bulk cable, which gives the assembly a consistent conductor layout and insulation profile. Its outside diameter is 17.0 mm, which is useful when selecting cable glands, drag-chain separators, or routing space inside machine frames. The main conductor set is 4x4.0 mm², and it carries the motor phases and protective earth, while separate smaller control cores handle auxiliary signals. Mechanical flexibility is supported by a dynamic bending radius of 7.5 x D and a static bending radius of 5 x D. The orange polyurethane jacket resists abrasion, oil, and coolant splash commonly found around servo axes and production equipment.

At the connection points, the cable uses a controller-side connector designated RLS0722/K04 and a motor-side plug coded RLK0003, allowing direct mating with compatible Rexroth drive and motor housings without field crimping. The jacket material is PUR in RAL 2003 orange, which helps the cable remain visible inside a machine while also providing chemical resistance. Electrical ratings include a power-core voltage of 300/500 V, while the auxiliary pairs are intended for lower-voltage service. For temperature exposure, the cable can be used from -30 °C to +40 °C in fixed installation and from -20 °C to +40 °C in flexible operation. The conductor insulation tolerates up to 90 °C in static routing and up to 80 °C while the cable is in motion.
