The RKL4499 cable assembly is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is a ready-made power cable for linking servo drives to synchronous motors in automated machinery, using factory-terminated conductors to simplify installation. Within an automation cell, the assembly carries three-phase power and protective earth continuity between the drive amplifier and the motor for dynamic applications such as gantry axes, pick-and-place heads, and palletizing robots. This basic version omits extra shielding layers to keep the outer diameter and moving mass lower in long-travel cable chains, and the prefabricated ends help keep connection routing consistent from one axis to another.

The outer jacket and conductor insulation are rated for up to 5,000,000 flex cycles, allowing continuous movement inside energy chains without early fatigue. During motion, the minimum bend radius is 7.5xD, while stationary routing may tighten to 5xD; these limits help protect the copper strands and jacket during repeated movement. The cable supports service temperatures from -30 °C to 80 °C, which allows use near warm motor housings as well as in colder machine areas. Electrical functionality is delivered through an 8-core layout that includes three phase conductors, a protective earth conductor marked GNYE, and auxiliary conductors for additional signals. The drive side uses an RLS0724 circular connector, while the motor end terminates with an RLK0006 interface and ferrules with ring terminals for secure attachment at the connection point. This construction keeps the assembly slimmer and lighter for moving-axis use, while the ready-made format removes the need for on-site crimping.
