RKL4496 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4496 motor power cable is assembled by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is intended for fixed-cabinet or drag-chain routing between IndraDrive controllers and synchronous motors in automated production lines, carrying three-phase energy and protective earth in a single shielded bundle. Standard phase identification is 1, 2, 3, and GNYE to match IEC motor terminals.

This model is manufactured from the INK0605 bulk cable and is qualified for up to 5,000,000 bending cycles, so it tolerates constant motion inside cable carriers without conductor fatigue. The copper cores present a resistance of 1.91 ?/km at 20 °C, which helps limit voltage drop over long runs while remaining compatible with drive short-circuit protection. When the installation is rigid, the cable may be formed down to a radius of 5 × D, while dynamic routing requires a minimum radius of 7.5 × D to protect the insulation system. Thermal loading is limited to +90 °C in fixed routing and +80 °C in flexible routing, which helps prevent degradation of the PUR sheath during continuous service. Drag-chain suitability is explicit, and the conductors terminate to an RLK0006 motor plug so the shield remains intact through the connector shell.

The orange outer jacket has a diameter of 22.2 mm and is molded from PUR (orange RAL 2003), giving abrasion resistance and oil tolerance in machining cells. Internally, the power core follows a 4x10.0 mm² configuration, so three phase lines and the green-yellow protective earth share identical cross-sections and current capacity. On the controller side, the molded plug is the compact RLS0721/K10, which provides positive locking and 360-degree shield termination. This arrangement simplifies cabinet wiring and preserves EMC performance in compact drive assemblies.
