RKL4487 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4487 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It serves as the fixed link between an IndraDrive controller and a servo motor, delivering mains power and auxiliary signals needed for coordinated motion in automated lines. The cable is supplied as a complete harness for direct termination, eliminating field crimping and supporting straightforward routing inside machine frames and cable tracks.

The jacket is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, so it tolerates extended repetitive motion without conductor fatigue. During simultaneous flexing and twisting, the cable withstands a torque angle of ±180°/30 cm, which suits high-speed pick-and-place axes. Its bulk cable code is INK0604, a material set that combines oil resistance with a low-abrasion sheath. In moving carriers, the dynamic bend radius is limited to 7.5 × D, while the static minimum at rest is 5 × D. These limits help maintain conductor flexibility during repeated motion. The assembly handles up to 300 V on the power cores and is suitable for drag-chain installation, supporting machines that run continuously across multi-shift production.

A core set of 3 + PE carries the three phases and protective earth, and each phase uses a cross-section of 6.0 mm² to reduce voltage drop along long travel paths. Two control pairs, consisting of 2 × 1.0 mm² and 2 × 1.5 mm² conductors, are included for brake release or temperature sensors, allowing a single cable run to handle the required functions. The controller side is fitted with an RLS0721/K06 molded plug, while the motor side terminates in a size 2 terminal box for ring-lug connection. Direct connection avoids intermediate junctions and supports routing through torsion zones where long flex life and secure shielding are important.
