RKL4484 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

Bosch Rexroth Indramat produces the RKL4484 power lead as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. This multicore cable links a Rexroth drive controller to its matched servo motor, carrying three-phase power, feedback supply lines, and protective ground in a single jacket. In automated equipment, the cable simplifies routing between the cabinet and a moving axis, reduces wiring errors, and maintains electromagnetic compatibility through fixed conductor grouping and controlled capacitance. Its integrated layout also helps keep cabinet-to-motor connections organized on machines with repeated axis travel.

The outer diameter measures 22.2 mm, which provides a clear reference for conduit sizing and cable clamp selection. Power conductors 1, 2, and 3, along with the green/yellow grounding conductor, each use a cross-section of 10.0 mm², allowing continuous current transfer with limited I²R loss. Auxiliaries 5 and 6 use 1.0 mm² conductors, while sensor leads 7 and 8 use 1.5 mm² conductors. An overall copper resistance of 1.91 ?/km helps estimate voltage drop over long runs. On the cabinet side, termination is made with the RLS0723/K10 controller plug, which provides keyed engagement and strain relief. The fixed-installation temperature ceiling is +90 °C for use in warmer enclosure areas.

For moving axes, the cable tolerates a bending radius of 7.5 × D, which helps prevent conductor fatigue during drag-chain service. The mutual capacitance is 1.0 nF/m, which limits reactive current at high switching frequencies and supports stable drive operation. A tough PUR outer jacket resists oil, coolant, and abrasion while retaining flexibility at the permitted bend radius. During continual motion, conductor insulation remains stable up to +80 °C. Motor connection is completed with the RLK0003 quick-lock plug, which provides a shielded interface and helps preserve dielectric strength along the power link.
