RKL4483 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4483 power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It links IndraDrive controllers to motor terminal boxes in automated machinery, carrying three-phase power and auxiliary signals in one flexible assembly. This arrangement keeps routing more compact because the power and control conductors travel together instead of requiring separate cable runs between the cabinet and the axis. The conductors remain electrically separated, which supports reliable brake and temperature-monitoring circuits while the motor is operating.

The cable is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, which makes it suitable for repeated motion in cable chains. During movement, it requires a minimum loop of 7.5xD dynamic bending radius, while fixed installation allows a tighter 5xD static bending radius. Its main conductors use a 6.0 mm² power conductor cross-section, and the cable includes 4 power conductors for the three phases and protective earth. The stranded copper construction supports flexing along the travel path, and the separate control pairs handle temperature-sensor and holding-brake signals without the need for an additional cable. At the motor end, the conductors terminate with ring terminals for connection inside the RLK0003 terminal box.

The cable operates from -30 °C to +80 °C, so it can remain workable during cold starts and continue operating in warm enclosures. Its outer sheath uses INK0604, which provides oil resistance and abrasion protection in machine environments where the cable may rub against guides or carrier surfaces. At the controller side, the cable uses an RLS0721/K06 connector, allowing a direct run from the drive cabinet to the motor terminal box without an intermediate junction. This direct connection helps keep the axis layout clean and reduces the number of connection points along the cable route.
