The RKL4482 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It carries three-phase drive power and auxiliary signals between servo drives and synchronous motors, supporting energy transfer in dynamic automation axes. Its role is to link the drive output to the motor while also carrying auxiliary circuits in the same assembly. The cable is intended for continuous motion inside cable tracks, where flexibility helps protect conductor integrity during repeated bending in packaging systems, material-handling equipment, and robotic installations.

The cable has an overall diameter of 17.0 mm, which helps determine routing space and cable entry size. Inside that envelope, the conductor bundle uses a 4x4.0 + 2x1.0 + 2x1.5 mm² layout; the four larger cores carry motor current, while the smaller conductors support brake and temperature circuits. For moving cable-track routes, the minimum bend radius is 7.5 × D, and service life is rated for 5,000,000 cycles. Mechanical protection comes from a PUR (adhesion-free, matte) outer jacket that resists oil, abrasion, and weld spatter while reducing sticking between adjacent cables. This jacket also supports smooth movement where multiple cables travel side by side through the same track.

For slower or fixed bends outside cable tracks, the minimum radius is 5 × D, which allows excess length to be routed without overstressing the insulation. Distributed capacitance is 0.8 nF/m, a value that affects electrical behavior over longer runs and can influence output filtering requirements. The sheath is colored RAL 2003 (orange) for clear visual identification in dense wiring areas. At the motor end, ferrules and ring terminals provide a ready termination style for secure connection to terminal studs. This arrangement helps keep the connection points orderly and supports consistent contact at the motor interface.
