RKL4476 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4476 cable is a motor power lead produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Designed to connect drive controllers to synchronous or asynchronous motors, the cable carries three-phase power and auxiliary signals inside a rugged industrial jacket. In automated machines, it transmits drive current while tolerating continuous motion in cable tracks, which makes it suitable for gantries, pick-and-place axes, and other dynamic assemblies. Its dimensional code matches Rexroth standard connector sets, so it can be routed as a preassembled harness between cabinet interfaces and moving carriages without custom fabrication.

Its outer sheath is made from PUR, a thermoplastic elastomer that resists cutting fluids and remains flexible at low temperatures. The copper conductors have a direct current resistance of 1.91 Ohm/km at 20 °C, which helps limit voltage drop on long cable runs. For energy-chain applications, the cable withstands 5 million drag-chain bending cycles. Dynamic routing is supported by a minimum moving bend radius of 7.5 × D, which helps prevent core fatigue in tight loops. Power delivery uses 10.0 mm² conductors, providing current capacity suitable for medium-frame servo motors driven by 600 V class inverters.

Signal functions are carried through 2x1.0 mm² + 2x1.5 mm² control pairs, allowing temperature sensors or holding-brake circuits to share the same routed bundle. The cable is Halogen-Free, so combustion products remain within low-corrosive limits used in many plant safety standards. Its sheath color is RAL 2003 (Orange), which improves visibility inside crowded cable trays. A nominal capacitance of 1.0 nF/m helps limit electrostatic coupling between the power phases and ground. In stationary sections, the cable can be laid to a minimum fixed bend radius of 5 × D without placing unnecessary stress on the conductor bundle.
