The RKL4468 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It serves as the main supply conductor between IndraDrive amplifiers and synchronous motors, integrating power leads and paired control cores for temperature or brake signals. By combining these conductors in one flexible assembly, the cable reduces the need for separate runs and keeps moving-axis wiring organized. This layout also lets power and auxiliary circuits follow the same routing path through the machine. Its design is approved for repeated bending, so it is suitable for cable-track routing in multi-shift production lines.

The cable uses a bulk copper cross-section of 4x10.0 mm², giving low-resistance paths for three-phase currents while reserving a dedicated protective conductor. An overall diameter of 22.2 mm keeps the profile compact enough for standard machine bulkheads and carrier systems. During sustained load, the conductors may reach 80 °C, which matches the insulation system for continuous duty. A total shield formed by braided copper and aluminum laminate surrounds the core bundle to reduce EMI between power and feedback wiring. For dynamic axes, the minimum bending radius in energy chains is 166.5 mm, which helps limit conductor fatigue during repeated flexing.

On the supply side, the cable mates with the INK0605 cable gland, and the thread size of M32 × 1.5 matches standard knockouts on Indramat terminal boxes sized 2. The outer jacket is made of PUR, which resists coolant, oil, and UV exposure so the cable remains suitable for mobile routing in industrial environments. At the motor end, the keyed power connector interface INS0486 provides strain relief and 360-degree shield bonding. This arrangement helps maintain shielding continuity across the connection point. It also supports stable electrical contact where the cable is exposed to vibration and repeated motion.
