RKL4464 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4464 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It supplies three-phase power and auxiliary signals between Rexroth drive controllers and servo motors used in industrial automation. By combining power conductors and smaller control cores inside one sheath, the cable reduces routing complexity inside cabinets and along articulated machine axes while maintaining consistent electrical performance. This combined layout also helps keep moving cable runs organized where both motor power and auxiliary functions must follow the same travel path.

Its power circuit employs 4 × 10.0 mm² copper conductors for the motor phases, and two sensor or brake pairs arranged as 2 × 1.0 mm² + 2 × 1.5 mm² remove the need for a separate harness. A PUR jacket that is halogen-free withstands oil and abrasion and is approved for drag-chain motion. The overall diameter is 22.2 ± 1.0 mm, allowing accurate selection of cable glands and chain dividers. Conductor resistance is 1.91 ?/km at 20 °C, which helps limit resistive losses on long runs. In fixed installation, bends must not drop below 5 × D so the cable can maintain its internal structure and insulation support over time.

During continuous movement, the cable uses a minimum bending radius of 7.5 × D, making it suitable for linear robots and gantries that reverse direction repeatedly. The bulk material code INK0605 identifies the cable construction used for this assembly. Mutual capacitance remains at 1.0 nF/m, which helps reduce unwanted charging effects at the drive output. High visibility is provided by the RAL 2003 (Orange) outer jacket, making the cable easier to distinguish from adjacent wiring in dense machine layouts. The PUR outer layer also supports repeated flexing while resisting common industrial contaminants found around automated equipment.
