RKL4463 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4463 is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It connects an IndraDrive inverter to a synchronous motor, delivering three-phase energy while carrying auxiliary signals for temperature or brake circuits. Designed for moving-axis equipment, the cable maintains electrical integrity and flexibility over long service cycles in industrial automation. This arrangement allows one cable assembly to support motor power and related control functions along the same moving route.

The cable employs conductors with a cross-section of 6.0 mm², and this size helps limit voltage drop during operation. There are 4 power cores arranged around a protective earth, which simplifies termination in Rexroth motor connectors. Copper resistance at 20 °C is 3.30 ?/km, which is useful when evaluating voltage loss over longer cable runs. The insulation system has a capacitance of 0.8 nF/m, so reactive current can be estimated when long cable sets are installed. For mains feeding, the power cores carry up to 600 V AC under UL rules, matching the voltage class used by many IndraDrive supply sections. Two 1.0 mm² conductors and two 1.5 mm² conductors are also included for auxiliary circuits such as brake release or temperature-related connections.

The outer jacket is made of PUR, giving the cable oil resistance and a tight bending radius for repeated motion. The sheath is colored RAL 2003 (Orange), which makes the cable easy to identify in control cabinets and machine wiring paths. Because the construction is drag chain suitable, it is intended for applications with continuous flexing when the recommended dynamic bend radius is observed. VDE approval lists a power-core operating window of 300/500 V, allowing the same assembly to be used in routing paths that combine servo power conductors with auxiliary lines. The jacket material also supports durable use in automated machinery where abrasion resistance and flexible movement are both important.
