RKL4444 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKL4444 is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It delivers three-phase power from drive controllers to synchronous or induction motors in automated machinery. Its layout supports both continuous motion in drag chains and fixed routing inside electrical cabinets and gantries. This arrangement helps simplify cable routing where the same machine includes both moving axes and stationary cable sections.

This model is manufactured from bulk cable type INK0605 and follows the composite build [4x10.0 + 2x(2x1.0)StC + 2x(2x1.5)StC]C, so it contains four 10 mm² power cores plus shielded pairs for brake and sensor lines. The overall diameter is 22.2 mm, allowing it to fit standard strain-relief glands while still remaining suitable for drag-chain compartments. A jacket made of PUR resists hydraulic oil and weld spatter, making the cable suitable for harsh production cells. In fixed installation, the minimum bend radius is 5 × D, which is the tightest corner radius recommended during cabinet layout without distorting conductor geometry. The 10 mm² copper cross-section on the main conductors helps reduce voltage drop in runs that supply high-current servo motors.

The external sheath is colored RAL 2003 for quick visual separation from encoder or I/O wiring, and the cable remains suitable for flexible service at ambient temperatures up to +40 °C during continuous motion cycles. In static installations, each conductor may reach +90 °C without degrading the insulation system, which allows temporary thermal peaks during heavy acceleration. For moving machine axes, the minimum bend radius is 7.5 × D, which helps prevent torsional stress from reaching the layered shields. The operating range extends down to -20 °C in flexible service, and conductor temperature remains within +80 °C during prolonged chain duty. This supports use in production areas that alternate between moving cable carriers and fixed mounting paths.
